Hey guys!
Been quite a while, hasn't it?
I'm really sh*t at this thing I do though. Really sorry for a break in transmission.
So, I'm sitting in my room this evening and scrolling through Instagram and realizing that I haven't actually talked about this thing that went down with y'all.
Before I went to bed last night, my roommates and I saw the post on Falz's Instagram about the procession in loving memory of those whose lives were lost during the peaceful #EndSars protest at Lekki Toll Gate, Lekki, Lagos State.

It brought back a thousand different memories
That time was indeed a trying time for Nigerians home and abroad.
I remember that day like it was yesterday
I was one of the online protesters, constantly checking Twitter for updates every minute.
At about 7pm or so, I started seeing videos of people running, looking for shelter from the guns that were ceaselessly firing.
Before this, the youths were told to come with their own national flag as the army cannot shoot at them if they're holding their national flag.
They sang the national anthem peacefully
Protested peacefully
Held the flag and they were still shot at
The question on my mind and I believe is on everyone's mind is "WHY?"
A year later, we still haven't found out why though.
A year later, the nation hasn't helped us
A year later, we are still were we were
A year later, the #Sorosoke generation decided to memoralise their loved ones and the armed forces began agian
I don't think they get it though
We are here to stay
We will not be deterred
We refuse to stand down
Say Their Names!!!!!!!!!

Nice one
What they didn't recognize was that 20th of October 2020 has made it's mark in history....today was just a reminder of why it happened and why we protest...if we ever forget their deaths..we will never forget the flag that held that held, shed and raised their blood for all to see
We will not be deterred!!!
#Endsars
#Endpolicebrutality.
Thanks for raising our hopes up and strengthening our faith.
